Silambarasan replaces Karthi.

KV Anand has signed on Silambarasan for his next, it is reported. The director of 'Ayan', one of the biggest hits in recent times, had plans to cast 'Paruthiveeran' Karthi as the hero. But the one-film-old actor insisted on having some changes in the script and the director started looking for a replacement.

On getting some feelers from Anand, Simbu rushed to the former's office and signed on the dotted line, it is heard. The actor has almost completed his portions in 'Vinnathandi Varuvaayaa', directed by Goutham Menon.

Another story doing the rounds in Kollywood is that Narain has refused the villain role KV Anand offered him. It would be worth remembering that Prithviraj debuted in Tamil with a negative role in Anand's 'Kana Kandein'.
