'Ajantha', produced and directed by Rajappa Ravishankar, is a musical love story. The film is being made in four languages--Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. The film has been in the making for quite a long time and is expected to release this month.
The film has nine melodious songs composed by Ilaiyaraja. Ramana and Vandana play in the lead in Telugu. Honey Rose plays the female lead in the Kannada and Malayalam versions. Venkatesh and Vinu Mohan play the hero in the Kannada and Malayalam versions respectively.
Ramana plays an upcoming singer with a heart of gold. He falls in love with Ajantha, a blind singer. He goes out of his way to arrange money for an operation to transplant eyes for Ajantha.
