Genelia D'Souza, who became a household name in the South with Telugu blockbuster 'Bommarilu' and its Tamil remake 'Santosh Subrahmanyam', returns to Kollywood with another remake. She will star in the female lead in 'Ready', the remake of a Telugu hit with the same name.
Sreenu Vytla's 'Ready', which starred Ram and Genelia in the lead, was one of the biggest hits in Telugu last year. In the Tamil version, Dhanush will play the hero.
For Genelia, starring in the remake of her own film has been lucky and she enjoys it. She reprised her own role in 'Bommarilu' for its Tamil version and did a similar character for 'Jaane Tu...' in Hindi with equal aplomb.
