The real life couple of Veerabhadrappa and Parvathamma, aged 98 years and 88 respectively, will be playing reel life couple in 'Ananda Gokula'.
Why an aged couple in the lead? Writer-director Nagendra Rao says, "The film is based on the atrocities committed by society on an aged couple. The negligence of children towards their aged parents, the negligence of the society and government towards the elders forms the story of the film". He is planning to finish the film by giving a message that the evening of a human being's life should be filled with happiness.
Former Minister and writer B T Lalitha Naik is playing a judge in this film. It is her novel 'Kai Hididhu Nadasennanu', which inspired the director to take up such a film. The film will be shot in and around Bangalore. Music director Rajan of Rajan-Nagendra fame is scoring the music for the film. The aged couple will also feature in a song.
