Vijay's upcoming release 'Vettaikaran', has been sold for a record price for Kerala and Karnataka territories. The film fetched the highest price seen in the last two years, it is reported. But, Sun Pictures, the distributors of the movie, refused to divulge the details about the deal.
The AVM production, directed by Babu Sivan, stars Ileana in the female lead. According to our sources, 'Vettaikaran' will be released in Kerala on December 18, at 75 screens. The mega entertainer will take on Mammootty's 'Chattambinaadu' and Mohanlal's 'Ividam Swargam Aanu'.
Vijay proves once again proves that as far as B.O. prospects are considered, he is a major force to reckon with in Kollywood, despite three consecutive flops in 'Kuruvi', 'Azhagiya Tamizh Magan' and 'Villu'.
