Though Jaggesh's 'Eddelu Manjunatha' may not have sent the cash registers ringing, it was definitely appreciated well by the masses and the critics. Jaggesh is back with 'Lift Kodla', directed by cameraman-turned-director Ashok Kashyap.
'Lift Kodla' is the remake of Telugu hit 'Mee Shreyobhilashi' which starred Dr. Rajendra Prasad in the lead. The film is about a group of people who are frustrated with the society and wants to end their lives. Jaggesh leads the group in a bus to Kodachadri hills to for this purpose. What happens next forms the film.
Jaggesh says it is the subject that made him act in a remake. "This is a message-oriented film and we are telling that no life is as bad as to commit suicide. This is a thought provoking film and that's the main reason I accepted this film," says Jaggesh.
Well known comedians like Komal, Bullet Prakash, and Raju Talikote play prominent roles in the film.
