Priyamani Signs her Second Kannada Movie!

We know that after proving her talents in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films, National Award winning actress Priyamani is getting ready to debut in Sandalwood opposite Kannada super star Puneet Rajkumar in Raam, being directed by Maadesh. While the shooting of Raam is in progress, it is heard that the actress has already signed another Kannada film.

According to sources, Priyamani's second Kannada film will be produced by Chandrasekhar, who thinks that Priyamani has a good command over Kannada and doesnt suffer from the accent problems. The producer recently spoke to her in Kannada and Priyamani reportedly expressed her desire to dub in her own voice in this flick. This untitled film stars Priyamani opposite Golden star Ganesh.

Earlier, Trisha had agreed to do the film, but could not allot dates as she would be busy with her first Hindi film Khatta Meetha, directed by Priyadarshan with Akshay Kumar as hero. Chandrashekhar plans to start shooting for his film by the end of November or in early December. He has chosen R.P. Patnaik to score music.

Padmapriya makes her Kannada Debut

Padmapriya, a busy actress in Tamil and Malayalam, makes her debut in Kannada with 'Thamassu', opposite Shivarajkumar.

Shivarajkumar will be seen in the role of an encounter specialist and Padmapriya plays his love interest. Padmapriya plays a human rights activist in the film. A war between the proyagonists is inevitable as the latter cannot bear to see her lover bumping off criminals endlessly. Padmapriya says she was very excited to do the film as her role is very unique.

'Agni' Sridhar who had penned story, screenplay and dialogues for several acclaimed films, is making his debut as a director through this film.

Bangaloored To be released in December!

Now Swaroop Kanchi, a Bangalore-based film maker who has been making feature length English films for the world market, is back with a new Kanglish (English films by Kannadigas) film called 'Bengaloored'. The film, which stars Harish Raj of 'Kalakaar' fame and Meghana in lead roles, is almost complete and waiting for a release.

'Bengaloored' has the story of a young author who returns to Bangalore after almost 10 years to find a climax to his new book. He finds his dearest city completely changed. His ancestral house is in disarray and on the verge of being demolished, his father has remarried after his mother's death, his best friend has become a monk. The only consolation is that he meets the love of his life there. Can the girl heal his wounds is the question.

Vasu Dixith has scored the music for this film. The film is likely to be released in December.
