Bollywood star Salman Khan is the latest actor from tinsel town to have joined the micro-blogging site Twitter.

'Arbaaz ne kaha ke Tweet karna toh banta hai boss. Chalo now, whoever was being me, party over, baju hatto please (Arbaaz said that I must Tweet. So now whoever was being me, please move aside),' Salman said in his initial posts.

The actor was welcomed on Twitter by jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali who is amongst the most regular celebrities on the website.

'Hey guys please welcome the one and only superstar actor Salman Khan on Twitter @BeingSalmanKhan. Big shout to him,' Farah posted.

While a lot of Bollywood actors have joined Twitter, stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Aamir Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Sushmita Sen, et al, are yet to get bitten by the Twitter bug.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan gives tips for getting six pack abs

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who flaunted six-pack abs in blockbuster 'Om Shanti Om' but couldn't maintain them later, is doling out fitness tips to youngsters through micro-blogging site Twitter.

'Six-pack more to do with diet than exercise alone. You need to be very disciplined. (Do it for) 30 to 40 days...they will start to show,' Shah Rukh posted on his Twitter page Monday.

'Exercise regimen - four times a week. Thirty minutes do weights or any exercise which makes you sweat. No rice or bread at all with food, grilled food. Lots of water. No alcohol. If you do, then exercise (for) 50 minutes. No music and wasting time during exercise. Just do it like a job...push yourself.'

'No desserts, ice creams or colas. No food in between meals like chips, etc. Singlehandedly try and bring the junk food industry to closure,' he wrote.

Shah Rukh says he does 100 push ups and 60 pull ups when he is regular. 'When I start I can only do five push ups and one pull up. It just happens (later) if you are regular,' he posted.

The actor, who was last seen in 'My Name Is Khan', is strictly against quick fix diets, and says people must make a careful choice about what they eat and drink.

'You make your choices according to your needs. When I work out I don't drink colas myself.'

Actor Ranbir Kapoor gets a new look for Pepsi's new commercial

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in a new avatar for Pepsi's new commercial, contrary to his usual look.

The 27-year-old will sport a dragon tattoo on his left arm and a motif of the same on his black-blue costume and neck-piece. The messy and carefree look is complemented with a stubble and a mop of hair falling on his forehead.

Ranbir, who recently replaced superstar Shah Rukh Khan as the brand ambassador of Pepsi, is ready with 'The Game', an upcoming TV concept from Pepsi.

The new look is slated to premiere on television March 27.

Superstar Aamir Khan Wont Celebrate his Birthday This year!

Superstar Aamir Khan won't celebrate his 45th birthday Sunday.

'I will not be celebrating my birthday this year,' Aamir told IANS over e-mail from Mumbai.

Media reports said the actor will fly to the capital Sunday to rub shoulders with acclaimed Hollywood filmmaker James Cameron and to discuss the future of cinema.

'Yes, I am going to be in Delhi for (a) conclave where I would be meeting Cameron,' said the actor.

Aamir did not say why he won't celebrate his birthday. But a source close to him said: 'He in any case doesn't believe in parties and celebrations for his birthday. Moreover, with his dad (noted filmmaker Tahir Hussain) passing away last month, he is keeping a very low profile.'

Incidentally, his colleague Shah Rukh Khan has teamed up with international rapper Akon in Mumbai to record a song.

With cinema in his blood, perfection in his attitude and known as the king of promotional strategies, Aamir managed to deliver several super hits since his first success 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak' (1988).

In more than than two decades he has given hits like 'Dil', 'Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin', 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar', 'Rangeela', 'Raja Hindustani', 'Ishq', 'Ghulam', 'Sarfarosh', 'Dil Chahta Hai' and 'Rang De Basanti'.

His 2001 hit period drama 'Lagaan' was nominated in the best foreign picture category at the Oscars.

Off late he struck gold with his 'one-year-one-movie' startegy. His '3 Idiots' and 'Ghajini' smashed all box office records to become Hindi cinema's top two highest earners till date. They have reportedly collected Rs.400 crore and Rs.226 worldwide respectively.

But Aamir is not beaming.

'I don't have any recipe (for success). Lot of us often forget that the business we are in by definition is basically selling stories... We have to be different each time. I have to reinvent myself... that's the demand of my job,' Aamir had earlier said.

'I am attracted to scripts that move me emotionally and when you have such stories to tell, it doesn't matter how unusual it is, people connect to it... I've no idea what audiences want. I only have an idea about what I want...,' he added.

Aamir is a winner of Padma Bhushan, the nation's third highest civilian honour.

Recently, the actor reportedly bagged the biggest endorsement deal by inking an agreement with new telecom entrant, UAE's Etisalat, for Rs.300-350 million for three years.

With so many feathers in his cap, the actor stands tall as an epitome of commercial cinema.

But he is now taking a sabbatical from acting to concentrate on his production ventures - 'Delhi Belly', 'Peepli Live' and his wife Kiran Rao's directorial debut 'Dhobi Ghat'.

Bollywood Actress Karisma Kapoor Gives birth to a baby boy.

Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, who is married to industrialist Sanjay Kapur, gave birth to a boy at Breach Candy Hospital here Friday morning, said a source. This is her second child.

'Karisma has given birth to a baby boy. The delivery took place in the morning,' the hospital source told IANS.

The actress, who gave many hits in her career including 'Raja Hindustani', 'Hero No.1' and 'Dil Toh Pagal Hai', also has a six-year-old daughter Samaira.

Karisma's friend, jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali, wished her on her Twiiter page. 'Karisma Kapoor just gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Many congratulations to her and her family,' Farah wrote.

Shah Rukh Khan invites Common folks to coach his IPL Team this Season!!

Ahead of IPL season 3, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan Saturday invited the people to coach his Kolkata Knight Riders team and send in their suggestions for improving its performance.

'When we used to lose, I used to get inundated with messages, mostly suggestions. I feel sad when we lose, but you have to take all those losses with little bit of ease and a little sense of humour and all those messages and emails, I used to keep them,' he said at the launch of the 'Main Bhi Coach' programme in association with Nokia India here.

'Keeping in mind peoples' habit of giving suggestions, I decided with the team of Nokia that this time we will launch something which would be called 'Main Bhi Coach' which would officially give everyone a chance to coach KKR and suggest what should we do for our team,' he said.

Shah Rukh said people could messages to 9664555555, and all these would be discussed with the team and the coach to see if the ideas could help in improving the team.

Shah Rukh said he is quite positive about his team this season.

'It happens in sports...one team wins and the other loses. I doesn't mean that the team losing is lazy or it doesn't want to win or it is a bad team. When one team competes, it competes to win. I won't say that we didn't work hard. Maybe our decision of multiple captains was not right, we can find excuses but the bottom line is that we worked hard, we played very hard but not hard enough.'

On the controversy over the deal with Lux Cozi, he said he had kept in on hold because he doesn't want to hurt anyone with his decision.

'We wanted to have lot of local partners. If you have local partners it's nicer. Legally, as a company and in every way I thought it was above board.... it made some people unhappy and what happened over the last six months, I truly believe that lot of people love and support me and I don't want to hurt anybody and even our partners so we have kept it on hold because that's what some members in Kolkata wanted,' he said.

Amitabh Bachchan Shocked!

Amitabh Bachchan was shocked to see Shashi Kapoor, his co-star of 'Trishul', 'Deewar' and so many other hits, confined to a wheelchair at the Filmfare awards last week.

Amitabh was supposed to present the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award to the 71-year-old actor, but could not attend.

However, Amitabh saw pictures of the event later and was shocked -- just like so many of his other fans.

"...the affable (Filmfare) editor Jitesh Pillai had asked me if I would give the Lifetime achievement Award to Shashi Kapoor and I had agreed. With great pleasure. I missed that more than the expectation of winning the best actor award. Seeing him confined to a wheel chair, was something I could never associate with Shashi ji," the 67-year-old posted on his blog.

"Shashi Kapoor, that handsome gentle man. A smile on his face forever. A considerate calling on each meeting, now in this condition? Never," he added.

They were seen together in hits like 'Deewar', 'Trishul', 'Namak Halal' and 'Silsila'.

Remembering the times they spent together, Amitabh wrote: "Film after film we did together, Shashiji and I, shared some of my most memorable times together in the Industry. He is now my relative. His elder brother, the great Raj Kapoor's daughter Ritu's son Nikhil is married to (my daughter) Shweta.

"I spoke to him on his birthday some days ago and then again when I wanted to invite him to the premier of 'Paa'. He had sounded weak in voice and expressed his inability to come. "I am not well', he had whispered faintly and I told him I would arrange a special screening for him. But I had never expected him to be the way I saw him at the award function in the pictures a few days back," said Amitabh.

The lifetime achievement award to Shashi was finally given by Shabana Azmi.

Music Maestro A R Rahman's world tour slated for June'10

Oscar winning music maestro A.R. Rahman has reportedly teamed up with Amy Tinkham, known for creating live musical concerts for Britney Spears and Mariah Carey, for a tour to salute Bollywood and Indian music.

"The Journey Home World Tour will be a theatrical experience that will blend new technologies with powerful dance arrangements and acrobatics. The concert will keep intact the heritage and traditions of India with a new modern presentation," contactmusic quoted Rahman's spokesperson as saying.

"The show will feature changing sets, large images on LED screens and a spectacular cast of musicians and dancers from across the globe."

The Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour is slated to begin in June at the Nassau Coliseum in New York. It will feature music from the film and tracks he was working on with the late Michael Jackson before the King of Pop died last summer.

Actor John Abraham Will Watch FIFA World Cup Live in SOUTH AFRICA

John Abraham is a huge football fan and is all set to watch the FIFA World Cup 2010 live in South Africa. And the actor would be rooting for Spaniards.

'I am going to South Africa to watch the FIFA World Cup,' John told reporters here held by Castrol, the official sponsor of the World Cup 2010.

Apart from John, 29 winners of the Castrol 2010 FIFA World Cup promotion, from Feb 1 to April 15, would also be able to watch a match in South Africa with the star.

Talking about favourite teams, John said he would support Spain.

'You know, you can have favourites right now but on June 11, you will realise which team is peaking and which team is not. If everything remains fine then Spain is one of my favourite teams and I really want Spain to do well,' he said.

The 2010 FIFA World Cup will take place June 11-July 11 and it will be the 19th edition of the premier international football tournament.

'I went to Berlin last time to see the world cup final between France and Italy,' said John.

Asked about his favourite players, he said: 'World Cup always gives new players. The old favourites are Lionel Messi (Argentina) and Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) and a lot of other players I assume are going to do well in this world cup.'

John had played a football player in 'Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal' and he says he would have loved to be a professional footballer if he could re-do his career.

Ajay Devgn Wants to Be an Action Hero again!

Ajay Devgn might not have featured in any full-fledged action film off late, but the actor says he still loves his action hero image he was known for.

"I'm doing every kind of film and there has not been any effort for an image change. In fact, I still love my action hero image. But at the same time, I'm lucky that I got the opportunity to do films of different genres and people liked me in them," Ajay told reporters.

Priyanka Chopra, who is set to cross the 200,000 mark in Twitter followers, visited the headquarter of the micro-blogging website in San Francisco after being especially invited there.

Priyanka tweeted about her visit to the headquarter where she met Biz Stone, Twitter co-founder.

"My day was really interesting because I was invited to Twitter headquarter in San Francisco! Had a great time. Thanks Biz and team for the wonderful hospitality," she posted.

The 27-year-old, who has been shooting in US for Sajid Nadiadwala's 'Anjaana Anjaani', is going to cross the 200,000 mark as far as her followers on Twitter are concerned. At present, she leads the Bollywood bandwagon on the site with 196,903 followers and has left stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, Shahid Kapoor far behind.

"Priyanka was in the US for her movie shoot. She had to drop by at a studio for the NDTV Indian of the Year programme and there she met the Twitter team. She was invited to the headquarter office in San Francisco since she is so popular among the Bollywood celebs on Twitter," a source close to the actress told us.
