Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh is Single again.

No engagement ring. Rather, it wrings Neil Nitin Mukesh's heart to bare that his two year liaison with Priyanka Bhatia has gone kaput. Reportedly, the relationship hit Splitsville as Bhatia couldn't adjust to the fickle ways of an actor's career.

Earlier, NNM had gushed about how their parents had officially consented to their blossoming alliance. "I really wanted us to be together, but Destiny had other plans," rues the actor in a tabloid talk.

Presently, housed alone in Powai, the suave performer is considering moving back to living with his parents at their South Mumbai home, in order to fend off the depression.

On the sunny side, NNM reveals that living alone has taught him to cook "everything from 'biryani' to pasta." Though, he wishfully admits that he'd love some svelte babe to rustle it all up for him.

Smart singletons, take your clue...

Sneha Ullal: The Misguided Bollywood Starlet.

Sneha Ullal was known as the Aishwarya Rai-lookalike when she entered the film world but the actress is now keen to carve a niche for herself.

After featuring in spooky thriller 'Click', she feels it's time she proved her calibre to people who misguided her when she first came to Bollywood.

"See 'Click' is not my comeback in Bollywood, because the film doesn't revolve around me. I need a film like 'Lucky' (her debut vehicle) to make a comeback; then I can show what I can do," Sneha told us.

"Now it's time I prove myself, because there are a lot of people who misguided me in Bollywood - whom I trusted. I never knew Bollywood was like that, you know," she said.

The young actress has already signed two Hindi movies, including one opposite Akshay Kumar.

"I am doing a film with Ashok Tyagi where Akshay Kapoor is my co-star and there is another film with Shubir Mukherjee. The film is being launched by Joy Mukherjee's son Sujoy. One of them is a thriller, the other is a love story and both are expected to release later this year," said Sneha.

Sneha made her debut in 2005 opposite Salman Khan and her second release was 'Aryan: Unbreakable' (2006) with Sohail Khan. After that she moved down south and featured in Telugu films like 'Nenu Meeku Telusa...?' and 'Ullasanga Utsahanga' .

"I have done three films in the south and the fourth is releasing in April. In the south, people are very genuine. They will tell you the right things. I had rejected one film because I was not comfortable kissing on screen. "

"Two months later, I got another film and I called the same director, whose film I had rejected, for some guidelines and he guided me properly. It's unlike Bollywood. Here people will misguide you and take you in the wrong direction. That's what happened with me," said Sneha.

The 22-year-old feels she owes a lot to southern cinema. "I won't stop doing films in the south ever. It teaches you how to be an actor...how to be a lady. I don't know about Bollywood as I haven't done much work here."

But at the same time she is keen to leave her mark in Bollywood as well, and says she will be less choosy about roles than earlier.

"I am going to do any role now that takes me to another level. If my role is good, I don't mind even if it's a D-grade film," said Sneha.

"I was choosy, but it didn't work for me. I need to learn because that's what an actor is all about. She needs to play different kinds of characters...You can't stick to one genre."

Asked if she has any regrets about her initial years in Bollywood, Sneha said: "I don't regret, but if I am to re-do, I will re-do now. I don't regret because 'Lucky' gave me name; people know me today because of 'Lucky'."

Bollywood Actress Neetu Chandra says She is Straight!

The 'Traffic-Signal' babe is once again in news for her fear regarding virginity. According to a leading daily, the sexy actress is often heard moaning, "I wish, I don't die a virgin."

Chandra is out of work at present and is often seen frequenting clinics for her skin treatment.

Recently, Neetu grabbed eyeballs after her photo session with model Krishika Gupta for a men's magazine. She had rubbished protests against her for allegedly promoting lesbianism.

Says Neetu, "Do you see any lip locks here? Any body rubbing? This is just a contemporary adaptation of Ajanta and Ellora. It's only about my expressions. Instead of those provocative expressions, if I'd just laughed or smiled, it may have well been a volleyball or basketball lying next to me."

She adds, "I very much knew what I was doing and never got carried away. But if there's even an iota of doubt in anyone's mind, let me make it clear once and for all that I'm not a lesbian."

Director Ken Ghosh Admits To Differences Betwn him and Actor Shahid Kapur!

Director Ken Ghosh admits he had arguments with Shahid Kapoor on the sets of his forthcoming film 'Chance Pe Dance'. He said it had to do with the actor's saturated schedules.

"For the first time in his career, Shahid was doing three films at the same time - 'Kaminey', 'Dil Bole Hadippa' and my film 'Chance Pe Dance'. Naturally, there was a conflict of interest," Ghosh told us.

"I'd ask for three days. He would have only one day to spare. I'd naturally be upset. Then understandably, Shahid wanted time off. He couldn't be seen on my set straight after shooting for one of the other two films. This naturally led to heated arguments."

"For me as a director, it was okay to come on the sets without sleep. But Shahid had to catch up on his resting time. Or the dark circles would have shown on camera."

The last thing that Ghosh wanted was for his hero to fall ill. "Priyanka Chopra had to be hospitalized because of overwork and exhaustion. I didn't want Shahid to go through the same experience," he said.

Ghosh says arguments and fights during the making of 'Chance Pe Dance' were for the betterment of the movie.

"But they were all for the betterment of the film. See when Shahid did his first film 'Ishq Vishk' with me, he only had that film on hand and was able to give me his full attention," he said.

The effort has been worth it for both Shahid and Ghosh.

"Shahid's dancing in 'Chance Pe Dance' is the film's mainstay. But his performance is not just about dancing. Some of the things he has done in the dramatic scenes took me by surprise. Shahid has brought subtle expressions into scenes which I didn't catch while shooting. Only during editing I realized what he had done."

Ghosh admits the actor has changed. "Isn't change inevitable? We all evolve with time. Shahid is no exception."

Also starring Genelia D'Souza, 'Chance Pe Dance' is expected to hit the screens Jan 15.

Bollywood Icon Madhuri Dixit to Play Indira Gandhi?

Madhuri Dixit is all set to play Indira Gandhi in a biopic being made by Krishna Shah. The two-part motion picture titled 'Mother: The Indira Gandhi Story' was announced on her 92nd birth anniversary, which was on November 19.

If the market buzz is to be believed, then, Hollywood stars Tom Hanks (as Lyndon Baines Johnson) is most likely to be a part of the film. Not just that, Tommy Lee Jones is being told as someone who was approached for an important role (to play Richard Nixon) in the film. On the Bollywood front, news has it that, Dharmendra, Abhay Deol and Nana Patekar have been approached to play Motilal Nehru, Rajiv Gandhi and Jai Prakash Narayan respectively!

Director Krishna Shah, who is known for his extensive research, has left no stone unturned while doing his research on Indira Gandhi, for the last 20 years by reading books on her, doing interviews with politicians, journalists, bureaucrats, writers, military men and Indira Gandhi's contemporaries. While the pre-production has already been done, the film will go on floors in mid 2010. The film is to be extensively shot in India, U.K, U.S.A and Russia.

Talking about the film, an excited Krishna Shah said, ''I have followed Indira Gandhi's life through media, books and critics. It's such an exciting and dramatic story. I want the future generation to know her story. A whole new generation has grown and matured since her assassination and through this film, I hope to connect people with their history and legacy.'' In order to do justice to the sweep of Indira Gandhi's remarkable life, the story will be a two-part film; Shah has split the film in two parts. While the first part will unfold her story from her birth to her emergence as 'Maa Durga' (Goddess of War) after her victory against Pakistan in the 1971 war, the second part will cover the political span of the rise of her son Sanjay Gandhi under Indira to her assassination.

Sources close to the filmmaker also revealed that the said film will have every element of an epic film - passion, love, marriage, motherhood, personal tragedy, revenge, and martyrdom. Needles to say, every viewer will be indeed waiting with bated beat to see the Madhuri not just back on the silver screen, but also as the legendary India Gandhi!

This Bollywood Star is Already Married?

In real life her marital status may still be single, but a fake certificate prepared suggests that Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif is the better half of local BJP MLA Ramesh Mendola.

A marriage certificate approved by Indore Municipal Corporation claims that the 24-year-old actress married the local MLA on December 2, 2008 and got the same registered with the civic body on December 11 the same year.

"The marriage certificate is totally fake and was not issued by the municipal body. It must be an act of some mischievous persons," IMC marriage registrar Dr Natwar Sarda told reporters.

"It appears that somebody first scanned the IMC marriage certificate and then with the help of some software showed the Bollywood actress and MLA as husband and wife," Sarda said.

The IMC has taken the issue seriously and will soon lodge a complaint with the police so that the persons who have done it can be booked for the crime.

Katrina on the road to rebellion?

Salman Khan’s girls have always failed him. This time it is Katrina Kaif, who is trying to strike a cordial relationship with Sallu’s archrival Shah Rukh Khan. She has been noticed to be mixing with SRK and his friends Karan Johar as well as Aditya Chopra at any given opportunity.
Last week, she was seen happily interacting with SRK at Subhash Ghai’s wedding anniversary and Sussanne Khan’s birthday party. When asked about the same by a news daily, the actress burst out, “I fail to understand why people must constantly focus on just one aspect of an event.”

“I’m not complaining because I know that if you are in the eye of the media, it only means that you are important enough to them. However, my bumping into Shah Rukh or spending time with him at an event is just a regular thing. I think people should stop trying to look for controversy in every nook and cranny. All of us are here to work. And we have common functions to attend. Naturally, when we’re under the same roof, we will interact. Why make a fuss? Who wouldn’t want to associate with Shah Rukh or Karan Johar?” she said.

Her sky-high ambition is making her associate with directors of repute, and most are SRK’s friends. “Karan thinks out of the box. On one hand, he makes a ‘Dostana’ and then a path-breaking film like ‘Wake Up Sid’. Naturally, I’d like to do a film for his banner. Likewise, working with Aditya is a pleasure. He has a young unit and they work with clockwork precision. Doing a film for them is being on a school camp, but completely result oriented.’’

Hmmm…smart moves, Kat!

Big B under Threat!

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has received threat calls from an unknown person on his mobile, the actor revealed it on his blog.

Big B, who played a genie in his latest rlease Aladin, wrote: "I visit a Muslim dargah and a Hindu temple has been viciously criticised by an unknown element on my mobile. He says it is incorrect of me to do so and that I should never do it again."

Amitabh Bachchan has been paying a visit to the Haji Ali dargah in Mumbai for the past few years.

The actor in his reply said: "Well dear man, if you are reading this insignificant little blog of mine, here is what I have to say to you. I am going to do it again and shall continue to do it. And I want to see how you are going to stop me. If you have the courage and guts com and get me."

Big B, who recently celebrated his 67th birthday earlier this month, said: "I do have his mobile number and I do have a name too. I believe that there is no law that can protect such atrocious uttering. We live in a temperate secular society where we learn to respect all religions. My belief is of my own making. If the temple or the mosque or a dargah has no objection to my visits ; if my Constitution and the laws of the country give me that freedom and if I do not offend them, then who is this man to stop me or correct me ?"

"It is elements like this that penetrate the psyche of vulnerable and innocent people and subject them to unnecessary and unjustified bias. I strongly object to it and abhor the existence of such elements in society. This gentleman even threatens me by getting personal. He says that my film Aladin shall not have success because of this deed of mine."

The legendary actor said he will never change his routine by a mere threaten call: "At the cost of every film of mine failing, I am not going to change my routine. If I wish to go to a temple I shall go there. If I wish to go to a mosque I shall go there as well and so also to a gurudwara or a church. And I want to see who is going to stop me from doing so."

Thr actor's film Aladin has been praised by his followers.

Will Shamita Make It?

There's chance that Shamita may not be able to attend her sister’s wedding. According to highly-placed sources at Colors, there seems to be no provision to get a contestant out of a game show for a wedding.
Hard as it may be to believe, Shilpa Shetty’s kid-sister now locked away in Bigg Boss 3, is oblivious of the momentous developments in her star-sister’s life.
Says a highly-placed Colors source, “Shamita has not been told anything about Shilpa’s engagement or the marriage in the last week of November. As far as Shamita knows the marriage was supposed to happen in December after the show was over.”
Now that Shilpa has approached the channel to evict her sister in time for the wedding- and a meeting between the two parties is on the cards this weekend - the channel bosses are at a loss as to how the rules can be bent to get Shamita out of the Bigg Boss house.
Says the source, “There’s a provision for a house-mate to be brought out in case of an extreme emergency. It happened with Jade Goody last year. But does a sister’s unscheduled wedding qualify as a family crisis? We’re now wondering if the same rule as Jade can be applied to Shamita’s case.”
The international Big Brother rules are being consulted. If there’s no provision for a contestant to leave the game for a family wedding, then Shamita Shetty may not get the permission to leave Bigg Boss house for the wedding!
This however seems improbable, considering Shilpa’s old relations with the reality show. (She was contestant on Bigg Brother and hosted Bigg Boss 2).
Says the source from Colors, “After meeting Shilpa this weekend we’ll work out a strategy on Shamita’s eviction.” According to plans if rules apply, Shamita’s eviction will be done live. “If an unexpected turn of events helps us boost our TRPs we’re certainly not shy of putting it on camera. We did with Jade Goody. We’ll do it with Shamita.”
The pop philosopher of the show Amitabh Bachchan is expected to do the needful. He will be breaking the news of Shilpa’s engagement and impending marriage to Shamita.
“The rest is up to Shamita. Once we’re sure she can be evicted whether she decides to come out or stay in the House is entirely her decision,” ends the channel source.
