Shahid Kapoor refused his mother Neelima Azim's film because he did not have dates for her.
Neelima had later said he was a big star and wouldn't fit in the role which needed a not- so- known face. However, rumours are rife that he didn't like the script much.
Now buzz is that she has approached Amrita Rao, to play the lead role in the film. Though Shahid and Amrita have given hits such as Vivaah and Ishq Vishq and were said to be romantically linked as well, there isn't much friendship between them these days. Amrita, who is looking out for roles that are different, is considering the project though it's an experimental role.
Reports claim before Shahid's dad Pankaj Kapur began searching for a new face opposite him in their film Mausam , he had a meeting with Amrita for the role. But things didn't materialise. Neelima, meanwhile, is still searching for the right actor to play the hero in her film.
